Wonder how much goes to charity

Not to be the pessimist, but I know viral charity eBay auctions have a terrible time actually collecting payment. People bid for fun because the auction has so many watchers, not thinking they might actually have to pay for it. I know Mighty Car Mods is on another level, but a pretty famous Mountain Biker and Youtuber tried to auction off his old bike for charity, it went for more than it was worth, and no one wanted to pay. He said he even offered it to the second and third highest bidders and they backed out too .

Spoilers! /s
I mean, I kinda knew they weren’t going to crush it, but I haven’t seen the episode yet. Not surprised this is what they’re doing though, hopefully it sells for lots of money, and that it actually gets bought, and that a large chunk of it will go to their charity.

None of it because I guarantee almost every bid is fake.

Update, watched the episode now and that’s not what I expected to happen. Also not sure how I feel about the sale now, I hope the money ends up going to charity.
Edit: damnit, commented too soon again, hadn’t quite finished the episode. Just ignore me.

That’s what I worry about.

Yeah. I was thinking the same thing. I doubt there’s a whole lot of MCM fans out there with those kind of deep pockets.

I actually thought this would happen. With the turd they stripped and crushed it. You could see it wasn’t stripped and there’s no way they’d let that kind of work get crushed.
